Dear Colleague,

5 banks in Europe had to be rescued last week which makes us all nervous. I pick up a newspaper with real reluctance these days, turning pages tentatively to see the reports of economic casualties. One giant falls after another, but industries outside banking are still standing on both feet. But for how much longer? In the next few weeks we will hear of companies announcing profit warnings. And this certainly focuses the mind. Meeting with shared services centres in Frankfurt last week highlighted to me how finance organisations are seriously shuffling priorities - there is such a huge attention on cash flow today that e billing and e invoicing projects have been swiftly moved up the 'to do' list. We are here to support you in meeting your goals, so if improving the processes which hold up your cash flow is key, join us in London or Paris and attend one of our meetings or webinars.

We have just launched  'Susie's Blog' ! sharedserviceslink.com's director Susie West will be sharing thoughts, news and comments all relevant to finance shared services. Be sure to visit the blog regularly and you are more than welcome to contribute to the blog yourself.

A Mini 5 Step Guide to the Sense of a 'No PO, No Pay' Strategy
Lately you would have heard companies talk proudly of their 'No PO No Pay' policy. You can hardly attend a single P2P conference these days, without at least one of the presentation having the bold claim of our company has a No PO, No Pay stance. But is it required and does it make sense? How much can be achieved without implementing this bully-boy tactic which could be detrimental to your company's image?
